The Ancient Deg-Bhapka Method To transform solid cacao into a liquid perfume, we rely on the demanding Deg-Bhapka hydro-distillation method—marrying a modern scent profile with our most ancient techniques.

• The Deg: Premium, roasted cacao nibs are carefully crushed to release their natural oils and placed into massive copper cauldrons (degs), sealed tightly with mud and cotton.
• The Fire: Slowly heated over a traditional, controlled wood fire, the roasted cacao surrenders its rich, buttery, and dark chocolate essence into the rising steam.
