At 1818 Essence, we curate history through the art of traditional distillation. Because our fragrances are artisanal, high-value personal care products, we maintain strict quality control protocols to ensure the integrity of every bottle.
By making a purchase on our website, you agree to the following terms:
1. Final Sale & Hygiene Policy
Due to the nature of our products (personal care/beauty) and international hygiene standards, all sales are final. Once a perfume bottle has been opened or the cellophane seal (where applicable) has been tampered with, it can no longer be resold or returned. We do not offer a "change of mind" 30-day return window.
2. Mandatory Team Consultation
For any issues regarding your order, you must contact our concierge team at 1818essenceperfume@gmail.com.
- Individual Assessment: Every request is handled on a case-by-case basis.
- Authorization Required: No returns or exchanges will be processed without a written Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) from our team. Items sent back to our facility without prior approval will be refused or abandoned.
3. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items (The "Broken Bottle" Clause)
We guarantee the arrival of your essence in perfect condition. We will provide a one-time exchange if the product is found to be broken or defective upon delivery.
- Reporting Window: You must report damages within 48 hours of the delivery timestamp provided by the carrier.
- Evidence Requirements: To prevent fraudulent claims, you must provide high-resolution photos/videos of:
- The damaged product.
- The original shipping box and packing materials.
- The shipping label.
- Resolution: Upon verification, we will dispatch a replacement of the same SKU at no additional cost to you.
4. Verified Grievances & Coupon Compensation
If our team determines that a customer has a legitimate grievance that does not fall under "Damages" (e.g., a service delay or minor packaging error), we reserve the right—at our sole discretion—to issue a Store Credit/Discount Coupon in lieu of a cash refund.
- Coupons are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
5. Refund Processing (If Approved)
In the rare event that a monetary refund is authorized by our management:
- Method: Refunds are issued strictly to the original payment method used at checkout.
- Timeline: Please allow 10-15 business days for the funds to reflect in your account, depending on your financial institution's processing times.
