The Ancient Deg-Bhapka Method We reject modern chemical extraction in favor of the time-honored Deg-Bhapka hydro-distillation technique—a process that requires immense patience and master alchemy.

• The Deg: Thousands of fresh rose petals are placed into massive copper cauldrons (degs) and sealed with clay.
• The Fire: Slowly heated over a traditional wood fire, the roses surrender their essence into steam.
• The Bhapka: This fragrant steam travels through a bamboo pipe (chonga) and is captured in a receiver pot (bhapka) resting in a cooling water bath, where it condenses back into liquid.
